We did it! Baltimore has the wettest year since record keeping began... along with a bunch of other recordsd this year.

I was thinking that all this crazy weather really didn't influence us that much. In olden days, there would have been major disasters with deaths, starvation, disease and other problems. Thank goodness for modern conveniences.
Happy New Years guys!

I am back from my Parents' house in NY and you never even knew I left. Guess I stopped writing for a little bit, guess I should start up again, huh? Though... averaging 4 ice pops a day didn't tend to lead to more Alyssa whining. :-)

My Mom has a great way of seeing the good in my kids. For seeing things that I find totally annoying as cute, funny, or smart. I have to try to do that more.

I have several good stories. I think I will just do 2 under the bed stories and then get off line so Rebekah can call. She is at a NYE sleepover. If she calls, I get the message online, so I am not shutting her out!

We had 2 of my kids' second cousins over at my mother's house. One is a boy, just Matthew's age and one is a girl just Alyssa's age. It works out well. Anyway, they were playing hide and seek, boys against girls, but we didn't know it. Bill was upstairs packing to leave (he went back on Sunday, we didn't till Wed, we flew... more stories later). He came down the stairs and asked if we knew where the girls were. WTF??? He told us they were UNDER the bed in my Mom's room. I guess they had found a real good place to hide. We found the boys and they said they couldn't find the girls so they had stopped looking. They were playing in the family room. :-) We told Bill to go upstairs and tell the girls they had won the game and could come down. LOL

The last night Mom bought a twin aero bed which is the height of a regular bed to replace the cot in the kid's bedroom. There are two regular twin beds in there. Before mom bought this bed, the kids were fighting that they did not want to sleep on the cot. (can't blame them). Unfortunetly, after we bought the bed the kids were fighting that they wanted to sleep on the aero bed. We finally got Matthew to sleep on a regular bed and Rebekah and Alyssa were going to try to share the aero bed. By 11:00 we knew that wasn't working. We left Rebekah on the aero bed and brought a hysterical Alyssa into my bed. She fell asleep and I brought her into her room and put her one one of the regular beds. Should be fine, right?

Well, at 4:00 I hear crying.. Mommy, Mommy... I ran in to try to get Alyssa before she woke up the other kids. Who knows how long she had been crying before she woke me... I was TIRED. Anyway, she wasn't on her bed! She sounded lower. She wasn't in between her bed and Matthew's (there was only about 8 inches of space there). But, there was a blanket. I pulled up the blanket but still didn't see her, but she was still yelling. I finally figured out that she was kind of stuck/scared UNDER Matthew's bed. LOL I held her head and she marine crawled out. LOL She barely remembers, says she fell off the bed, but in the morning didn't say that. I still wonder exactly what happened. :-) Rebekah woke a little with the screaming but doesn't remember at all, and Matthew didn't wake up... why should he? He was only 3 feet away. :-)
