I just realized something that happened on Thursday. Rebekah and I were walking through Target and Rebekah saw a new Captain Underpants :-) book that she wanted. She asked very nicely if she could have it and I was going to buy it and it was in the cart. I remembered that I was gong to buy at B&N in two weeks as a fundraiser for the synogogue. UGH, I would rather buy it during the fundraiser. Anyway, I briefly explained this to Rebekah and she was perfectly fine putting this much wanted book away so we could support Adat Chaim.

That flexibility about something she really wants it new and I LOVE IT!!!!!! Good Job Rebekah.

Ever wonder what the kids of today would think of our video games?

Here is one comment

But you can get this game on a cell phone. Why would you want to pay for it in an arcade?

So funny. :-)
I have been watching a lot of baseball. :-) I wanted the cubs to win, but wasn't too upset when they didn't. I just figured out why! I am a METS fan!!!!!!!!! and all the time I was growing up, the mets and the cubs were fighting for last place. :-) I was always hoping for the cubs to lose so the mets could be in forth place, instead of last. LOL So... real deep, ingrained in me is the hope that the cubs would lose... and they did. See, I couldn't be too upset.

But, on the other hand. MAN, last night sucked with the Red Sox and Yankees. Being a Mets fan, I hate the Yankees. I lived in MA for 7 years where people like the Red Sox and HATE the Yankees. I have now live in MD for 8 years where people like the Orioles and HATE the Yankees. See a pattern here? After the Yankees beat the Mets in the World Series a few years ago, I have decided that I would be happy if the Yankees never won another game!!!!!

I am not going to watch the World Series. It is not healthy for me. :-)

Obviously I am working with my planner again. :-) Next week has me exhausted!

Monday:

8:45 -8:45 - 11:? visiting day at Rebekah's school

2:30-4:00 pick everyone up
5:30-6:? evaluations at rebounders for R and M

4:15 -4:45 conference at Matthew's school what to do with kids????

regular horrible day with company and 2 Karates

Thurs.

The big problem is when I have something in the late afternoon like this, it becomes really difficult to get all R's homework done. Should be fun... Also, I need to pack a lot of food for each of these days. My kids' largest meal of the day is the afternoon 'snack' and I can't skip it. They need to eat or they get obnoxious. LOL

Well, Rebekah was up till 2:00 am this morning and I woke her up at 7:15. Then the whole day went by, and we were at the EEG place at 2:30. They did this and that till probably 3:15 when they shut the lights and it was 'nap time'. Well, she was in there for almost 50 minutes and didn't fall asleep. Stubborn girl... Until they called me in, she was trying to chat up all the people in the next room. LOL Oh well, they got some results anyway. For working with 5:15hrs sleep, Rebekah was pretty good today. Not grumpy or anything. She even did some homework early evening and night. She started crashing at 6:30 or so. Pretty amazing. I told her she will do great in college cause at 8 she barely needs sleep and can think tired. :-)

I bought her some hard for her math workbooks to keep her up last night. It was so amazing to see what she could figure out. Probability, geometry... even though she doesn't get all her work done is school she is learning stuff there. OK, it is the geometry in the index of her planner that she is learning, not what is being taught :-), but she is learning. She was doing some problems where they gave her two angles in a triangle and she had to figure out the third. She was doing it no problem... OK, she counted some addition on her fingers, but she did it. :-) Then they had one where they only gave one angle and said the other two angels were the same (I told her what the symbols meant) - with very little guidance from me she figured it out. I helped, but she _understood_ and could easily do it again. Amazing girl. Too bad she still adds 7 and 8 on her fingers...

Oh, and some problems were asking her to guess how many degrees were in an angle. She was thinking outloud and doing the exact logic the writers wanted. "Oh, that is MUCH more then 90.. that is less then 180... oooohhhh it most be 140" (it was multiple choice). Too bad school can't be like this... (Jen, Reba - I know... I know... home school...)

On a non-Rebekah note, a week from Saturday should be 'interesting'. I was putting the soccer games in my planner and saw something...
1-2:30 Alyssa has a party to go to (she will not want a drop off)
2-? Matthew soccer game (can NOT be late picking him up and should watch)
2:30 - ? Rebekah soccer game

Hmmm... doesn't look real possible, does it? hmmm.. Maybe I can get Rebekah a ride to the soccer game and go there with Alyssa after the party? Hmmm... now to get her a ride...

Here it is at 7:55, I am home with the kids and tired. The dishes are brought in from the sukkah (COLD!!!) but aren't put away yet. The kids are doing some (messy, I am sure) craft in the kitchen and I need to put Matthew and Alyssa to sleep soon. I have to keep Rebekah up as long as possible, trying to have her sleep deprived for her EEG tomorrow. This will mean that I will be sleep deprived too... Please people. At about 3:00 tomorrow afternoon, think 'fall alseep' vibes for Rebekah. I am kind of worried that this test will be a bust. Rebekah needs to sleep for this test and she basically hasn't napped since she was 2year, 3 months old. :-)

Bill should be home at 10 or so... I think I am going to take Rebekah out LOL and go to blockbuster and pick up a video.

YAAWWNN...

BTW: on a normal day, Rebekah needs about the same amount, or less, sleep then I do....

Would anyone else be annoyed at someone in the house eating the last 1/4 of a large peanut butter jar one night and not telling them? I promised Rebekah a PBJ sandwich today and went to make it up... no peanut butter. I would have bought some if I had known...

I know it sounds so petty, but it still aggravates me. Just like when I find out the kid's hair conditioner is out because I only wash their hair every couple of weeks and when I go to get more conditioner under the sink, because there is none by the tub, there is no more. I mean if you just tell me, I would be happy to go buy some more. Why use adult stuff or fight over more tangles?

Just the little things of life...

Alyssa was very cute today. (keeps her from getting killed sometimes :-) )

We were driving down to pick up Rebekah and carpool at school. Alyssa was tough to get into the car so I bribed her with a gumball!!! She fell asleep on the way to school - with the gumball in her mouth! I was so worried, but she kept on breathing. Anyway, on the way back home, Alyssa started to wake up, but she was still asleep. So, here is this four year old sitting in a booster seat, asleep, and chewing gum. SOOOO funny.
