Bye guys. I can't write now as it is just an excuse to avoid getting ready for my trip. I will be back in a while :-) with a couple of pictures.

If you have a brilliant idea of how to entertain 3 young kids on a plane for 5.5 hours with no food service, and no movie drop me a line! Nervous, who me?

I got haloween costume advertisements in a catalog this week... you have GOT to be kidding. WAIT... I am still enjoying summer. :-)

I brought Rebekah and Matthew to the eye Dr. today. I pretty much knew Rebekah needed new glasses, but Matthew needs them too. After I told her that I can't read the time on the alarm clock and Bill can't tell there is an alarm clock :-) she looked at Alyssa and asked if she had ever been tested. :-( I said she had a year or two ago and gets screenings in school. I guess next summer (before Alyssa goes to Kindergarten !!!!!!!!!), I will have to get them all eye Dr. appointments.

Not like I need the money for anything else or that my kids are tactile and light sensitive and hate eye drops or lights in their eyes, is it?

I did the kids laundry this weekend. Bill seems to think that this will be the last laundry for them till we leave next Sunday. Huh... I need to pack for a 10 day trip and he wants me to do it 6 days after laundry? He says I can dress them in things they wont wear anyway. Does he not have a clue, or is it a man thing. He looked at me very weirdly when I said I will do their laundry again. Heck... if I do it Friday, I can combine it all in one, summer clothes are not big. Also, all their summer stuff gets dried, so it isn't hard or anything.

Well, at least he will bring Matthew's shirts in to be cleaned when he brings in his own this week. That is at least one less thing I have to do. I HATE ironing. :-)

I found a really nice 'zipper' black tie for Matthew. It should be good. These ties are so cool. They look like a regular tie, not like a clip on. The straps "zip" open to make the neck part big (but the knot still tied) then you put it over the head and "zip" it tight. I like it. I don't know if Matthew will need it for the wedding or not, but it is a nice tie to have anyway.

I have seen these children zipper ties for at least 3 years. But this year, I actually saw it in adult sizes... so funny! I wonder if it will catch on. They do look good on, but really, how hard is it to tie a tie?

My mom found something cool.

Type in "French Military Victories" (including the quotes) in google and hit the "I'm feeling lucky" button.

In case it is not in the top result anymore, this is where it points to now. Leila, maybe you should not look? :-)
Oooh, I am such a wild woman! I filled up my gas tank with 19.33 gallons of gas... Oooohhhh... my tank only holds 20 gallons. So stupid, but I do it all the time. Who thinks I will some day be blogging about how I got stuck at the side of the rode out of gas?

Actually, one time I did get stuck. (think I would learn) It was about 4 years ago and I had 2? 3? kids in the car. (hmmm was Alyssa born yet? I think so) So anyway, there was a construction truck at the corner I ran out of gas at and he just came over and gave me gas from his truck. How nice was that? Also, within 1 minute a police car was there to see if I was OK. This was inside of Baltimore proper. You couldn't have a nicer running out of gas story.

There were only 2 problems. First I didn't have any cash on hand to give to the nice guy. :-( I felt really bad about that and actually carried emergency cash for a while. Second, for months after that, when the car slowed down for something, Rebekah would ask if we were running out of gas.... LOL poor worry wart.
