The house did smell good when we braided (not breaded ) the bread and baked it. I actually did a 'good mommy' thing. I gave the kids a bit of dough and let them make their own loves to bake. The unfortunate thing was there were two girls over so I had 5 little challot going and they were a little bit bigger then I wanted. So, the main Challah was a bit small for our family. Oh well, there was enough for dinner but not enough for breakfast. So, I just had to eat the left over as a night time snack , right????? right?????

Today was good and bad. Rebekah had a rollerskating party to go to from 10-12, and she and Matthew had therapy/gymnsastics at 11:30, I thought. This was basically Rebekah's first time skating and she was starting to get the hang of it. She was doing much better at the end and was able to get up by herself when she fell. Oh, and she also wasn't upset when she fell which is 'a good thing'. We had to leave at 11 to make it to gymnastics. Bill was bringing the other two there to meet us. When we got there it was weird. First they told us it was supposed to start at 11, then they told us we were supposed to go in a different entrance. Then, I was talking to someone and asked when it ended. They said it was 2.5 hours long... WTF??? Ends up they were put in a class for basically school readiness. By the time I got back there to figure out what was happening, they had figured out that Rebekah really didn't belong there and they were trying to figure out if Matthew did (nope). When Rebekah got dressed she asked if she could go back rollerskating. :-( I was so sad to tell her no. She really wants to go again and is talking about going every week. Bill is busy this weekend, and I can't take all 3 kids skating. :-( I am really going to try to take Rebekah tomorrow but it sucks that she had to leave the party early for no reason! Gymnastics place screwed up big time!

I did schedule them for a group on Friday at 4:15... I don't know if I can make it there on time, but I will give it a shot. They really will love it , and it would be good for them, if we could do it. But, it makes it harder to have a nice Shabbat dinner with fresh baked Challah. Oh, I guess we could still do it, but probably with store bought Challah.

My Mom and Dad are out buying a new car today and it is killing me! I want to know what they decide to get! I want to KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My hands are tired, but I am getting a cool new oven and just spent ages fighting at Sears. There is a 10% off sale on appliances right now but they say there is an exception for Gemini ovens. I found an advertisement that was mailed to my house which didn't have an * or disclaimer in the little box which bragged about the 10% off. The manager showed me the disclaimer on the bottom of the next page. I showed him there was no * on the first page. He told me it didn't matter. I showed him the clothing 15% off had a disclaimer right there about lands end clothes. He said it didn't matter, the disclaimer was on the back. I said there was nothing to say to look at the back, he said it didn't matter. :-P He said, look there are all the disclaimers on the back, like the restrictions on the 0% financing. I said look at the box for 0% financing, it says to look at the bottom for disclaimers.

wasn't this a fun conversation?

It went on for a while. ;-) He said he didn't know why they left off the disclaimer, could be paper management but it wasn't necessary anyway. I said, think of the markerters, if the disclaimer wasn't necessary would they put in on the 15% off for clothes? Finally, to shut me up, I think, he said we could split the difference and he gave me 5% off. I said OK, as the work I was thinking of to complain to corporate and stuff would have been a pain and probably not worked anyway! That was so not like non confrontational me! But I am glad I did it. Hope it comes out of the managers bonus or something!

Hmmm.. I have to check the paperwork he gave back to me and make sure he didn't mess anything up. My oven is coming on Monday!!! I can't wait. Hope it cooks Thanksgiving turkey (22lbs!!!!!!) well.

Alyssa and Matthew keep asking if it is Chanukah. LOL not yet kids.

My house smells so good. :-) It isn't even cooking yet! Just the yeasty floury smell. I love it. After I get Rebekah, I will bread it and cook it... the house will smell delicious. If only I had the stuff to start a soup... oh well.

So funny... what would you do if your mother found out about your... um not-family appropriate blog?
I had a dream the other night. I usually don't remember my dreams, but I did this one. I was walking around outside and really had to go to the bathroom. I couldn't find a bathroom and was starting to funny walk (you know what I mean :-) ). Finally I went into some store and started walking toward the bathroom and walked and walked and walked.

Anyone guess why I remembered this dream? Cause I woke up in the middle of it for an EMERGENCY bathroom trip at 5 in the morning. :-) I almost never wake up during the night, so this was weird... Better then dreaming of eating marshmallows and waking up to the pillow being gone. :-)

Someone careened into the leaf bags by the street. Four of them are ripped open with leaves blowing in the wind. :-( All that work. We live on a court, it had to be someone who knows us... I would have expected a phone call and a "I'm sorry" guess not.

Talking about blowing in the wind. Wow! That was some windy day yesterday!!!! Over 90,000 people lost electricity. BGE is gong to have some sort of deficit this year! First a blizzard, then Isabel and not this. Thankfully we didn't lose electricity.

Matthew and Rebekah start their gymnastics/sensory stuff tomorrow. I think they are going to have so much fun! Have a good weekend everyone...

Bill raked almost half our lawn and has 30 very filled garbage bags of leaves. I think we need to chop down some trees! Alyssa was very cute today, following him around with a garbage bag in her hand waiting to give him a new one and push the old full one down the front hill to the street. :-)
