We have been so busy lately with just.. life. I am not sure what to write. Alyssa has really be needing naps again, all of a sudden. It has to have been 6 months since she slept as much as she has in the last week. Yesterday she fell asleep in the car again, today she fell asleep at a neighbors house in Bill's arms. She slept in my arms for well over 1 1/2 hours. I probably should have measured her today to see if she will be an inch taller next week. :-) Growth spurts need extra sleep, don't they?

I really want to know how Matthew is doing in school. I get very little out of him when I ask. He seems to like it, but I wonder how he is doing. I was going to wait a week or two till I called his teacher for an informal phone call... even if I can wait that long, who do I call? He has his main teacher and at least 1 other teacher (maybe 2 he can't seem to say) for math and reading. He doesn't come home with homework, and the only paper he comes home with is usually a coloring done during the day. When Rebekah was in Kindergarten, they made this cool what I did at school paper every day. Each student contributed one thing and the assistent teacher wrote them down, copied it and sent it home. At least I had a place to start with questions.

Rebekah is doing much better at school. She is finishing much more of the required work. :-) If this continues, maybe I can convince the school to get her more challenging work. She is also getting very close with a girl on the court. This girl is two years older then Rebekah but they seem to play well. They even play together when the girl has another 4th grader over... I am giving Rebekah a little bit of freedom when she plays with this girl. It is scary for me to cut some strings... but I know everyone who plays there and trust them. But... Matthew has a problem with this. Whenever Rebekah is playing with Melissa, he wants to go too! He thinks he is her friend too. :-) They are really good at playing with him, but they should have some time away from him too... if you know what I mean.

From all the time Rebekah has spent at Melissa's house (with their Dalmation), she is really calm and friendly with the dog now. :-) She like the dog. This is a hugs step forward as she was very scared before. Matthew and Alyssa are still scared of the dog, but don't climb me to be picked up as soon as he comes out. This is a step, right?

We are back from NY after Yom Kippur. It was a nice little trip. The funniest part of the trip was how Alyssa kept on falling asleep during services. I think there was something about the Rabbi or Cantor's voice which put her to sleep. This girl rode all the way back from NY in the car and didn't get home till almost 10:00 and didn't fall asleep. But... get her into services at 11 in the morning and ZZZzzzzzzzz, off she goes. LOL On the way home, Bill and I were saying we should have recorded the services and played it in the car, maybe she would fall asleep.

We are back at home, and I have a TON of stuff I should be doing with my 3 hours of them all at school. I am just waiting for the phone to charge a little. I have a feeling someone might try to call me. :-(

Matthew will be coming home with me picking him up today instead of the bus. I don't know if he will remmeber. I hope the teacher will remember!!!!! We are starting OT again. Today for Rebekah, and in 3 weeks for Matthew. We managed to get them both at the same time, but it means two new therapists. I hope it will be OK. Since Matthew's school is so late, I have to pick him up at school at 4, go right to the OT at 4:30 - 5:30 and them home... probably not till 6:15 or so. Then, we will first have to cook and have dinner and do Rebekah's homework. AUUUrrrgggghhhh. There really isn't enough time after school to comfortably do anything. Somehow my schedule has gotten very full.

Monday: Rebekah Karate at 5:30-6:15. At least she can do homework before and the other two can play at the parenting center near there.

Tues: Matthew soccer practice 6-7

Wed: This crazy OT schdule

Thursday: Rebekah from bus 3:30, hebrew school 4-5:45, Matthew from bus at 4:20. dinner, homework???, Rebekah soccer at 6:-30 - 7:30. UGH!!!!!

Friday: Shabbas and rest. :-)
