I was wearing a necklace yesterday which has three children on it. A big boy, a big girl and a little girl in the middle. Rebekah and Matthew know it is Rebekah, Matthew and Alyssa.
Alyssa thought it was Mommy, Daddy and Alyssa. LOL Self centered, aren't we?

Oh, also, everyone thought I was crazy for having 2 birthday parties the same day. But, with so much help from Mom and Dad and Michael, oh yeah, Bill too :-) it went really well.
Tonight is a little bit of a problem. Matthew's school is having a back to school meeting at 7:00 I want to go to, Rebekah's school is having one at 7 also and Matthew has soccer from 6-7. Oh yes, and my kids should be IN BED by 8:30 if not before. LOL I sent a note to Rebekah's teacher and explain and see if she can tell me anything critical. Also, I need to tell her when I can volunteer. Bill will meet me at Matthew's practice and take the kids so I can go to Matthew's meeting. Should work, right?

Well, the parties were successes, basically. Less people showed up to Matthew's party as (unbeknown to me) a girl in his class was having a girls only party that day. Her invitations went out first and everyone went there. So, I invited a few more neighborhood kids and it ended up OK, if inside. The plan was (for both parties) craft outside, then sand pit (with toys and digger and see-saw), pool, and for Matthew slip and slide. Then food outside and more play if time. It rained the entire day. :-( Luckly, Matthew's party was smaller then planned. We came in, went to the basement to play, went to the kitchen for crafts on the kitchen table and an aluminum table. Then my folks and others cleaned as I took everyone down to play. Then up for food (Alyssa had pizza and lasagna then cake, Matthew had m&ms, chips, cake and icecream ) and back down for more play and coloring on the paper I put all over the walls.
It worked out... Luckly the basement has a slide, little trampolene, kitchen set, dancing piano and lots of other junk. Everyone was quite impressed with out many toys there are here. Little do they know that I just put 2.5 bags of toys and stuff in the garage to give away.
