Does anyone in the world have an easy time picking colors? I am tone death and I think I have some sort of similar problem with colors! LOL I can look at the swatches and tell you that they are different. But why are they different? Which ones would look better on my wall? The living room came out a very nice color and we are happy with it, but we came ___this___ close to picking a much darker color which we would have been very unhappy with. Now we are trying to pick colors for the kitchen. We are going to paint the walls and the cabinets, almost definetly different colors. But what????? I am going to call a painter to paint the hallway and stairs this week. They are too much a pain for Bill to paint... not worth the agravation. That color choice should be easier as it is a tight area and it will be some sort of white. As long as it is clean looking, I don't feel like I could go _that_ wrong with it.

The bathroom in the basement? I hoped to get a quote on it on Friday but he didn't get back to me. I guess I will call him later this week if I don't get a quote. Hmmm... I will have to pick a color for that too as I don't want "builder's white".

We went sledding yesterday at a nearby park. The kids didn't last too long on the hill. Rebekah complained of her tush hurting, and her feet being cold. Matthew log rolled down the hill instead of sledding and so did Alyssa. "Too fast Mommy" After sledding we went in the heated car all of 100 yards to the playground. Matthew and Alyssa went to the playground (in the snow) with me pretty quickly and had a good time. It was a little difficult with snow boots and snow pants - too slippery! Rebekah let her feet warm up and came out eventually. I am sure anyone looking at us thought we were nuts! :-)

Then we came home and soon switched into sneakers and stuff and went out for dinner. When we got home from dinner, for some reason or another I took Rebekah's sneakers and socks off. They were sopping and cold!!!!!! Boy, I felt so bad and guilty. She wasn't doing her normal kvetching about being cold, she really was! Her feet must have gotten wet while sledding (the snow was dry and cold, didn't think anyone got real wet) and she was COLD. Blech. I told her next time she needs to tell me that her feet are wet and at least take off the wet socks when she gets home!

Today the kids were outside a bit too. We sledding on our yard and played on the swing set and see saw and they searched for 'clues' in the sand under the snow. so funny. The only problem was the snow was REALLY good for sledding and I was the pour umm... sucker who had to catch/block them before they ended up in the street. I am too old for this!!! At one point, Alyssa was standing behind me and Matthew and Rebekah headed off at the same time from the top. They were both heading straight for us (less then a foot from eachother) and I was scared to move a lot as I had top stop them from hitting Alyssa! They really hit into me. Then they got a speech about sledding rules! :-) Alyssa again rolled down the hill instead of sled. Uh oh, I just realized I am going to get in trouble for not taking pictures. Sorry Mom and Marlene.

I am so happy we have full winter gear for the kids this year, they have really used it. Most of it is last years stuff and hand-me-downs from an older sibling. I don't think I have bought any for this year! Alyssa was so happy to be wearing a scarf and hat Nana made and Matthew was wearing a nana scarf too! I couldn't believe my luck last year when I found a hat Matthew would wear and keep on, at Stride Rite of all places!

Now it might snow again tonight! Weather bug says 1 inch by morning and about 3 by 1 o'clock when it stops. That wouldn't make MA blink, but here in Baltimore? I am not sure. These kids are going to go way over into the summer making up all the snow days! Sure is pretty though as either the stuff melts or more snow comes down before it can get that ugly dirty look.

As long as school starts tomorrow, I have lots of phone calls dealing with the school and with politics. I am so bad at politics, I hope it works out all right!

Talk later.
