I had a great trip to the library by myself. After I
returned a book and paid their fees :-( I went
looking for some books. Both children and
ADULT!!! :-) I have stuff to read. Rebekah already
read Quidditch Through the Ages and seems to
have liked it.

Among other things, I got Crossing Over, it should be a fun read.

Tomorrow we are going to the Ringling Bros and Barnum
Bailey Circus
. Bill, me, Michael and all three
kids. Should either be fantastic, or uhhh, not. Our
seats are in the 5th row from the floor. I plan on
bringing earplugs. :-) Bill thinks I am crazy, but all
three kids can be sensitive to noises and if ear plugs
let them enjoy the circus I will do it! I figure I bought
6 seats and will probably use 3. I bet each of the 3
kids will be on a lap.

Please think of us tomorrow and hope that it goes
well! The Baltimore Arena will let me bring in
a diaper bag, but will not let us bring in a back
pack. How much sense does that make? I will
be packing three circus flashlights we already have
at home. I hope they let us bring them in because I
don't want to spend $30 buying 3 more, and what fun
is a circus without a flashlight? They also say NO
FOOD... but I will try to pack a little, I guess...

Think of me, Amy the rule breaker.

I had such a good time with Lisa over here. She
and her family only stayed for a couple of hours,
but it sure was nice! I wish I lived closer to a whole
bunch of people. I talked to a friend from NE today,
(Hi Alan) and wouldn't mind living there half the year
or something...

I just got my first plug for this blog! Jennifer, the
sweatheart that she is, mentioned me in her blog. I just
can't take anymore. :-)

I registered Matthew for school today. Oh
man... Am I going to be a nervous wreck
next September! I don't know how Matthew
will do a big yellow school bus, a full day at
school, eating lunch in a cafeteria and taking
the bus home. He is still a baby, isn't he? Nobody
seemed to bat an eye that he has speech and
OT services, lots of people wrote it down, but they
all said it wouldn't be a problem. Matthew got into
this school through a lottery system. There were about 300
applicants for 27 spots this year. Younger siblings get into
Kindergarten automatically, so if Matthew is still
there, Alyssa will get in, in two year..

EEEEEYYYYY GGAAAWWWDDDSSSS!!!!!

I think Matthew might do well at this school. It is kind of
an open environment, but the lower classes are more
closed off. The classes are mixed ages. K and 1
together (the rainbow class), 2 and 3 are together and
4 and 5 are together.

They take from all 3 rainbow classes to make different
groups for different subjects. These groups are
supposedly re-analyzed every topic or so. It could
mean lots of different teachers for each kid and
different students for different subjects. We will see...
From everything I have heard, it is a great school. The
teachers care about the kids and are energetic, the
parents care about the school and volunteer a lot,
the parents have to care about their child's school or they
wouldn't have bothered to apply... I will let you know in the fall!

Next year... 3 children in 3 different schools, should be fun!

I found a couple of 'interesting' pointers around the web today...

I don't think I want my children playing baseball in South
Korea, they seem to take it much too seriously! ! LOL

I guess it is nice to know the irs has a sense of humor.

They rated Mallomars as the best junk food cookie, this best junk food list,
must not be too bad...

Lisa is coming over, Lisa is coming over!!!! My Jr. High and High School friend Lisa is coming over with her family today!!!! YEA!!!!!! She had a conference in DC and brought her family down. They are stopping here on their way back up to Conn.!!! I am sooo excited!

What do I have to do before they get here? I already brought two to school, went produce shopping, put it away and did my computer stuff. Then I will bring Alyssa to gymnastics (she loves it), pick up Matthew, cook/eat lunch, bring Matthew to speech and OT then come back to meet them at 2:30. Just another day at this crazy house.

Before I go, here is a little pointer. Which would you trust, a congressional ID or a Sams club card ?

Oh, do you think a teddy bear which is really a network switch would attract women? I wonder if it worked for these guys at MIT who were avoiding work.
Debbie, CalTech wouldn't have this, right?

Boy, I have a lot to learn about this. I just lost a whole, long post. :-(

The most important part of the message was

Happy Birthday Mom!!!!!!!!!

(I hope she doesn't read this till tomorrow, which is her birthday.)

In soooo many ways (more then just the wise-joking ways), I wouldn't be where I am today without her. Oh Mom, I was doing something Alyssa didn't want today and she said "I want Nana" - I think she understands the grandmother thing.

OK, the serious question now, can I get in trouble for having my 2.5yo run naked through Macy's? LOL While Rebekah and Matthew were at school this morning, Alyssa and I were at the mall. We were at Macy's looking for a different flower girl dress for Alyssa. We found one that she LOVED and I was having trouble convincing her to take it off. I finally got her to take it off and while I was hanging it up... off she ran! :-) It took me a while to catch her because I was laughing so hard.

Matthew is still having bad dreams, poor baby. Last night he jumped into our bed saying his bad dream was about a bug flying in (or out, I forget) of his nose. Might have something to do with a stuffed nose he has, huh? I am just not a nice person when I am awaken 1.5 hours after I finally fall asleep. Bill ended up bringing him back to bed as I was NOT in the mood to comfort. Right now he is sleeping with his light on. We need to buy a small light, the nightlight is not enough and the top light is too much.

Rebekah has a field trip tomorrow and I am not a class mom. :-( They don't allow siblings on trips and anyway, this trip would start while the other two are in school and end after they are home. I would be able to make a playdate for Matthew, but Alyssa is still too young, IMHO. I guess it is OK as I ended up being swim mom for Matthew's class tomorrow.

Michael saves the day. We have been promised a Rhode Island quarter and are totally up to date... amazing! Also, he pointed out that I probably don't have three Louisana quarters yet as those aren't out yet. :-) We have three of the Tennessee quarters... what's the difference?

Mom, Marlene, let me know if you still need Tennessee. I got number 4 and 5 today.

It is 11:30 and I have already brought Rebekah to and from Sunday school and bought three possible dresses for a wedding my children will be in, in July. I have to see if I can upload pictures here... anyone?

Poor Matthew was in tears when I showed the dresses! First he said "where is mine?" then he said "I want a pretty dress" :-( I tried to look for some of his dress clothes, but the place I was at didn't have what he needed. I even looked to buy him a pokemon shirt or something, but I ran out of time. Oh well... bad Mommy time, again, I guess.

When the state quarters started coming out a couple of years ago we bought a quarter book for Rebekah which we have been filling up with quarters. She was the only one who could understand what the quarters were and it seemed to make sense to buy it for her. Well, my Mom had a brainstorm...
in 5?? years when the quarters are all out, aren't the other two going to be pretty jealous? So, here we are 16???( or so) quarters into the cycle trying to start 2 new books. I was nervous we couldn't even get new books, never the less find all the quarters.

Well... Mom found two books! We went through some money Mom was going to give the kids to feed their banks and found a bunch. Last night I raided the kid's banks and found more!! We are only missing 1 Rhode Island quarter. Isn't that amazing?? We should be able to find that easily enough. We even have three of the new Lousiana.

Let it be recorded here. I owe Matthew 4 quarters, Rebekah 3, and Alyssa 2. I think I will get the quarters on Monday to give them. Tuesday will be busy as I am swim mom at Matthew's school... oh fun.

A high school friend of mine is coming over on Wed. I am ssooooo excited!!!!
