Two real quick things before I put away fruit and pick up Matthew.

1- We need to send in a "V" thing for next week. What to bring?????? I do not have a violin or viola and I don't even think I saved any valentine cards for him... I could always do the "V" block, but that is booooring! Oooh, maybe one of the snazy vests I bought of E-bay? One of them has brightly colored Wanna Brothers stuff all over it????

2- I applied for a visa card when I bought my Giorgie at Target. (It gave me 10% discount) I gave them MY liscense and a credit card with my name on it. I do not know if Bill is also on that card. I never gave them any sallary information. Remember, I have not earned any money in over 7 years....

Well, they just sent me a new visa card, with, get this, a $15,000 limit! Jeez, we could really live well if we maxed out our credit cards! Cars for both of us plus some! I think I will keep this card active as it sends me coupons for Target, but I will not use it. Probably put it in the bottom of my nightstand. I don't know if I will need to use the card to use the target coupons...

Last night I went to bed at 9:15 and was only awake for 1/2 an hour before my alarm went off at 6:30. My body proabably needs that every night, not this silly 1:00am stuff I usually give it!

I made a Dr. appointment for my car on Monday! I can't believe I will be without a car on Monday. I don't know how you SAHM with only 1 car in the family do it. I would be besides myself! Monday is the ONLY day that the only driving I do is to and from preschool. It is the only day I can really get rides and leave the car somewhere. Sometimes I think I would have more free time if I worked... OK, I know that is not true... but sometimes...

Bill is at Hopkins for some shindig tonight. They have meetings all day and then a fancy shindig, networking, eating evening. You know, adult things! There was a meeting I was thinking of going to tonight, but I guess this is more important. The talk was "How to Raise Confident Children in a Crazy World"... or something like that. The speaker often speaks around here and I am going to have to keep an eye out for another speech by her.

(OK, we all know I can't spell, but usually I can tell if something is wrong... If I look. It looks like speak is right and speech is right, but how can that be? Wouldn't they both come from the same root?)

Oh, look, she is on parentsplace.com

and amazon.com

We really should get babysitters more often... yup, my mom is right again! LOL

Any nerds you know need new T-shirts?

Matthew did really well in swimming and really appreciated me being there! He still doesn't put his head in the water but doesn't get upset with being splashed now. He also did a pretty big jump into the pool just holding onto the swim teachers hands.

It was a nice, slightly busy uneventful day. We had school. Then Matthew, Alyssa and I just hung around till we picked Rebekah up from school, went to 2 Karate classes (Rebekah will pretest for 1st yellow stripe next week) and then out to fast food dinner with friends. Rebekah was supposed to do homework while Matthew was in karate, but we needed crayons for the homework and I didn't have any. The homework was short and cool anyway. There was this ostrich who had two ties and 3 pairs of shoes. You had to color groups of shoes and ties to see how many combinations you could make. The homework took about 1.5 minutes but it is sooo cool they are introducing this stuff in 1st grade. :-)

Alyssa has gymnastics tomorrow... boy, she loves gymnastics! Matthew has school and then speech and OT. His speech in speech class is going great! Now we just have to figure out a way for him to speak in school too!

Friday is Matthew's show and tell for the letter U. I know they always end up with 16 umbrellas. Anyone have any better idea of what he can bring in?

OK, the washer if washing and the dryer is drying, and I don't know how to spell. Time for links.

I think it is time for me to go back to school and get another BS.

I think I am officially old. Isn't that what happens when pop culture looks in bad taste to you?

Forgot to mention the planets aligning. Sounds pretty cool, but I can't type more now, so I will just leave the pointer. I havn't checked, but NASA probably has something on it too.
HI! :-) The weekend is over, and it is Monday night and I am supposed to be doing laundry... oops.

Rebekah was the only one who had a busy weekend, it was pretty relaxed for the rest of us. I don't know if we did anything on Saturday, but on Sunday, Rebekah had Sunday school, then a lacross game, then a playdate. Then the whole family went out for junk food. :-)

Oh yes, Saturday... the plan was I would get to sleep till noon. Well, I woke up at 10:45 and had a headache.:-( I ended up being up for an hour and then going back to bed, with 3 advils. I slept till 2:30 or so. I felt better by the afternoon and went to a birthday party of a friend of mine who turned 40. The party was only for the woman. It was fun! But I barely saw the kids that day. When I left, Alyssa was saying "Mommy, you are my best friend" and when that didn't work she said "Mommy, I miss you". Just broke my heart, it did. But I went anyway... Mean Mommy!!!

Rebekah's first ever lacross game could have been cute, but it was cold and wet! I waited all morning for them to cancel the game, but they didn't. A couple of days before, it had been 94 degrees in Baltimore, but on Sunday, it was about 55 degrees and raining! They finally had to call the game after 3 quarters. For one, the parents with kids not in the game that quarter started leaving with their shivering, miserable children. And two, the children in the game were complaining that they were cold! Oh, also, some of the moms started complaining too! The game was kind of cute. You could definetly see who has played a team sport before and who hadn't. You could also tell who has played lacross before and who hasn't. Rebekah needs some hints :-) and also needs to learn to pay attention to what is going on. It was her first game ever and she got the ball a couple of times, so I would say that was pretty good! I am going to sign her up for soccer in the fall, hopefully she will like both. I have to check, but I think Matthew misses the age cutoff for soccer by a month or two... oh well. Next year then.

Tomorrow I am swim Mom for Matthew's class. This is good and bad. In some ways it is good. Matthew likes me to go there and since the last time he often asks why I wasn't swim mom on Tues. Well, Tues is the only morning I have 'free' and I am usually busy. Being swim mom makes me get to his school and swim with them... that is good. It is also fun... well, once you get past the getting 10 kids and yourself undressed then dry and dressed part. :-) But, it is a pain and I kind of have better stuff I should be getting done tomorrow and I just don't feel like it! Oh well, I will probably be happy I am there once we are all in the water. I hope it isn't too cold! Last week they barely even dried the hair of the children... it was over 90 degrees. This week it is, maybe, 60 and we need to really dry everyone.

Alyssa got new sneakers today. She LOVES them. They have lights which blink when she walks, what more could she want? She has been telling me that her sneakers hurt for a couple of days. WOW.. the other two have NEVER told me when their shoes are too small, I, or my Mom :-), just have to notice that they look small or that it has been a while, and get them checked. Oh, BTW: going to the mall with just one child is fun!

Tonight Rebekah was practicing her Kahta (sp?) 1 drill for her first stripe on her yellow belt in Karate. Matthew and Alyssa were copying everything that she did, it was VERY cute. Then, I had her do block drill (what Matthew is learning with white belt) for Matthew to practice with her. Both Alyssa and Matthew copied every move... I REALLY should have gotten the video camera out! But then, they probably would have stopped anyway.

The Karate instructor saw Alyssa trying to do Karate at Rebekah's party. She was kicking the kicking thing and doing punches in the line and everything. Jen said Alyssa could probably be an early starter for Karate. Funny... well, maybe. I was planning on starting her right at her 4th birthday, a year from Aug... maybe I will start her next winter instead????? Who knows.
