Guess what. My almost vegetarian son ate 7 chicken nuggets on Wed. and ate teriakki salmon on thursday!!! Maybe after 2 years he will have some real protein in his diet? He also eats hotdogs, but I am not sure that even my all beef ones count. :-) Oh yeah, if I take chicken cutlets, egg wash, coat in crushed corn flakes and bake, he will eat that. But that is IT. Well, it is a start. Thanks for reminding me that I should buy chrushed corn flakes (how lazy!) today.

I went to a good child study meeting I went to today. Brad Sachs talked about his book The Good Enough Child and some of his theories about child rearing. It was quite interesting. A friend bought his book and I will read it when she is done. :-) Sometimes I think all these theories would work if you could just stay calm and think at all times... easier said then done!

I decided I am going to pull my kids out of school on Monday to go to the March for Israel Solidarity in DC. It is very important to me and I want my kids to know it, and experience it. Feel free to tell anyone that you know about the March. There are many busses comeing from all over the place. It was planned so quickly and for a Monday, I don't know what type of turn out it will be able to get. My Mom and Dad will be down from NY to go. I hope a lot of people go.

On a MUCH lighter note, television without pity has added Trading Spaces to their shows. What a great read!!!

Why do I think Junkyard Wars is probably a great cult hit at RPI right now?

Alyssa was so cute in underpants today. She is just starting to learn and having accidents right and left, but her little tush just looks so cute! LOL She loves to flush the potty so I kind of have to believe her if she says she made on the potty. The little coniving little 2.5yo has learned to umm... tell tales. Is she gifted or what? She has these little sandals which have velcro instead of real buckles. Hopefully she will loose interest in taking them on and off soon! LOL

Good night all!

I am so uninspired to write lately. My life just seems too boring... busy but boring. When isn't boring, it all seems too complex for me to write about.

Anyway, today is boring, but busy again. It is 12, Matthew went to school and back, Alyssa had gymnastics. Alyssa was so cute, I put on her leotard in the morning so she was excited to go to gymnastics. We ran several errends (party city, bank, and petco) before gymnastics. Everywhere we went she flashed her shirt up, show her leotard and told everyone she was going to gymnastics. :-)

Next I have to rush the kids through lunch, bring Matthew to speech and OT and entertain Alyssa. Luckly I switched Matthew's Karate to Tuesday so I don't have to do that today. Bill has his last bowling night tonight so it is just us.

I hope Rebekah doesn't have much homework, it is SO nice outside I think we might go to a park. I love not having to put jackets on everyone. Though, here in wimpy Maryland, most of the kids are still wearing sweaters or something. :-)

Oh yeah. How many people do you know who can get a sunburn in 2.5 hours in the first week of April? In Maryland to boot! Now you know 1. I burn sooo easily. Time to buy suntan lotion. I am not really sure I know why. I am so bad at putting it on myself. My kids I will put it on, but me? My Nanny (Mom's mom) used to say it made me look 'healthy'.

I remember someone once stopping me at the super market and asking "doesn't that hurt?" I was in the hospital pregant with Matthew. I was burned and probably dehydrated. The 3 nurses acted like they have never seen a sunburn before. Not very good bed side manners. One was saying, ooh, that is going to blister. And I just smiled up from the bed and said, it never has before. LOL

(I was watching Rebekah in the baby pool and didn't realize the sun was so hot on my back, it wasn't on my face at all and my back got BURNED. Too bad it wasn't my front, I think I had lotion on my front. LOL)

Pretty quiet time for a couple of minutes! Mom went home (boo hoo!!!) and the kids are upstairs and quiet! Reading and running around, but quiet.

Quote of the weekend - Coach to Rebekah at the first lacross practice.

"You have to lean down to get the ball the rest of you are already 1/2 way there" LOL. Not an exact quote but close enough. She still thinks her height is her height and doesn't have any hangups or worries about it... that is nice. We went to a Doctor's today and she grew 2 inches since August. I think she really grew it in the last month though... She is 7 now, what a big girl!

We had little party in NY for her and made our own teddy bears. It was really fun, you can pick out the fur, eyes, nose and amount of stuffing. All three kids and two friends made the bears and they all named them and have been sleeping with them. :-)

Next weekend she will be having a Karate party. Should be really fun! Tomorrow I am bringing cupcakes into school. These birthdays are never ending! Lucky kids.
