Look how often I am typing.

Looks like I need to hurry up with Rebekah's eye Dr. appointment. She had one scheduled for last Monday but I cancelled it so she could test for her second stripe on her yellow belt. I need to make another appointment ASAP. When she tested at the day school, the admin said she thought Rebekah was looking very close at the paper and wondered if I had had her eyes checked. I told her I have an appointment scheduled. Anyway, that got me to thinking. At the mall today I asked her if she could read a sign. Not only could she not read the smallest print that I could, she couldn't read the next one up. When she put on Matthew's glasses she could read it fine. Sounds like glasses to me!

We were at the mall to order a print for the dining room. They told me that the cheap frame I was going to get was borderline strong enough for this big print. They upgraded the frame and gave me a price. I said it was OK (with a coupon discount I bargained in, without the coupon). Then, as the lady was ringing up the picture the boss said oh, wait, you didn't include the print in that price. Uh oh... The extra $75 for the print put the art over my internal high limit. I guess it worked out cause the $300+ for the picture will have to go to Rebekah's glasses... How long till Alyssa needs a pair?

I am ridiculously excited that we are going to get an over the oven microwave. It is sick, really. :-) I haven't gotten one in the past because the appliance store said we needed 32" of space above the stovetop. We have 31". Well, other people I have talked to say we should be OK. They are not as knowledgeable, but I am convincing myself it will work. All of my pots will fit easily. Now I have to talk to Bill about whether he wants to do the electrical work, or if we should call someone. We have a huge hand me down microwave that my Mom bought for herself on my Prom weekend! For any of those counting, that was 18 years ago! The thing is still working fine, but I worry about whether it is still safe or not. If I get that monstrosity off my cabinet I will have more room for other gadgets! LOL

Work on getting a bathroom put in the basement is still going very slowly. Gotta work on that!

Rebekah on I are kind of stuck on a Pokemon game. Bad mom that I am, I introduced her to looking for cheats on the Web. What a bad influence, huh? Time to feed my kidlets.

Today Alyssa was playing a computer game which asked the child to type in their name at the beginning. Miss. I would rather do it myself, didn't want me to type in the name. I was impressed when she typed a first. But then she went right to the two Ss in her name. Who knows what is coming? She said that was her name. I insisted she add the last a on her name so she wouldn't go only the game with "ass" as her name. :-)

I decided to paint the living room the lighter of the two colors I was looking at. It ends up being a nice mauve. I am probably going to paint the ugly panelling behind the fireplace the darker color. If I can't find a DVD/VCR holder that matches the entertainment set, I might paint that one of the two colors too.

Time to cook...
